22.547 km @ 105 years old.  “I could’ve gone further!” the four-foot-11 Parisian said after the effort on the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines track. “Had I seen the 10-minute warning, I would’ve gone faster.”

And all the bad stuff - he did this in an indoor velodrome, on a road bike.  Stayed off the track and rode the apron.  But in his defense; there are 450,000 105 yo's alive now.  He may not one in a million, but he is one in half a million.

Fun thing is that a whole pile of young people watched.

I figure if I can just stay alive and active long enough, I can eventually qualify for Kona....

He did 4kms less than 3 years ago in 100+ category. It is being "blamed" on going vegetarian. His doctor figures once he comes to his senses and eats meat again resulting in extra muscle mass he can go faster again :-)
