VeloNews has from time to time touchy-feely articles that are excellent. The one on Rob and Tracy Lea and their Downs Syndrome (?) adult son. (They were clubmates of mine.)
This article. The Vietnam war and the lives it touched. The event that led to this story happened 3 months after I got my pass, number 264.

Watched the final Ken Burns episode last night... tough to choke back the tears.
I had a high number as well and the draft ended three months after I would have been eligible.
My brother who was visiting with me and my wife the past few days also had a high number, had he not he would have been there along with his high school classmates, class of 1967
Sobering indeed.

That was a very good read. Thanks for sharing Ben.
That war is still making victims to date as highlighted recently

The company I currently work for is actively involved in agent Orange cleanup and toxicity assessments. As per the NYT article high time the US govt acknowledges the reality of the long term effects.

Hahaha Huck. I sense some frustration with the current state of affairs. Rightfully so but the Agent Orange hat hangs on many administrations over many decades. And not all is well here...refer to our PMs UN speech on first nations issues.
