Reading a book that combines a lot of what many around here I suspect will find interesting. "Road to Valor" -- Gino Bartali and his activities during WWII see link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zuUlQTDiP4 half way through it -- lots of good cycling stuff and historical info/details

a little follow up -- really enjoying it. Lots of insight into WWII life in Italy. Pretty amazing. Also interesting re F. Coppi -- who himself led a very complicated life. There's a good biography of him on Amazon that may be my next read.
