Yeah, I broke in, trashed the place and hauled off the stuff.  The cop who arrested me was a city cop and I was convicted by a city judge and jury.  But I can prove that house was outside the city limits!  I should be a free man!  Johan Bruyneel saying that USADA had no jurisdiction over him as a Belgian.

Yeah, yeah.  We hear you.  Keep it up and I will have to get my earplugs.

That was the laugh of the day… good one, Ben

Well, I DID break in and trashed the place as well as hauled everything off but some other guys walked across his lawn and two guys were jaywalking so why are you picking on me?

Good lord.....I hate to say this but......

Can someone please explain why Bruyneel and the team doctors *only* got 10 years but -7 was banned for life? I see little to no differences in their roles vs. -7's.

This will only add fuel to the fire for -7's claims that he is the victim of vendetta against him.

I get the other riders getting lighter sentences....and I have no issues there. But these yahoos should also have been banned for life.

CK, using the power of law to extract large sums of money, threatening people with bodily harm and wrecking careers is going a real step beyond using and pushing drugs. LA feeling thre's a vendetta against him? People going after large sums of his money and wrecking his career? LA, see "karma".

Ben

Edit: not defending "only" 10 and 8 years.  I'd be happy to see a lot more, even life, just saying LA doesn't have ground to stand on here.

I don't disagree ben, but being a bully and a douchebag don't fall under USADA's supervision. The fact that he sued others (and won) has nothing to do with the case that USADA brought against him. The fact that he used his podiums as a bully pulpit to brow beat people into submission also isn't governed by USADA.

Everything that -7 was found guilty of, Bruyneel and the others were too. And if you really wanna clean up the sport, hitting the managers and team doctors with huge suspensions would be a good place to start.

I'm not saying -7 shouldn't have had a lifetime ban.....I am perfectly OK with that. But watch him spin this into something that makes public opinion start to sway back in his direction.

these guys ultimately are getting what they deserve (give or take) and reaping what they've sown.

the process to get there: a hopeless mess and a maze of inconsistency as i've said all along.

the usada proclamation of the most sophisticated doping program ever blahblahblah: laughable self-promotion

i've yet to see a winner on this playing field

Hello, irony? Could you take this call or should Filippo Simeoni handle this one?

I'm not saying he is right.....I'm simply talking about how it is likely to play out. Hell, you can even hear people now (led by the charge of our old friends over at VN) pointing out how LL, GH, TD et al got lighter sentences and wondering why -7 got a lifetime ban.

Watch for the -7 Redemption Tour 2014 to hit full steam shortly.

Oops.....missed the original post above.

Not a kick off......more of a fumble.  He's determined, you gotta give him that.

dkri, likewise, except: I want to know in advance that the guy whose wheel I am on has 170 psi n his rear tire so I put in my earplugs. I've heard them blow (at a safe 50 feet away). It's loud. Like a 22 caliber pistol. (Track tires at the velodrome.)
