The daughter and son-in-law escaped Brooklyn with the onset of the pandemic and have been living with us upstate (Orange Cty) since Memorial Day. The granddaughter turned 1 in September, and the grandson 5 this month. Joy and exhaustion trying to keep up with them. Remote kindergarten (those teachers need commendations, plus) has been a challenge.

The grandson and I rode bikes together, outside in the driveway and inside on trainers in front of a TV. He has picked up on Rocky & Bullwinkle and Shaun the Sheep. Most of his classmates are more into Pokeman.

Today they bought a house not too far away in NJ and will move by Christmas. I will miss the kids. At least it's within cycling distance.
