For many years I used Internet Explorer with MSN. About every 15-20 days I would go to internet properties and delete temporary internet files. In May I switched to Google Chrome and Gmail. I can't seem to find temporary internet files on Google. Does Google's cache take the place of this? Am I looking in the wrong place? The Google help forums didn't help.
Thanks!

see the three black stripes in the top right corner? click on them to open your settings panel, go to 'History' & click on that . you'll find the 'delete browser history' button in there.
you could also install the 'click&clean' extension which wiil clear history and temp files auomatically.

I saw that when I was exploring around but is that temporary internet files? How long does Google keep that history? 30 days? For ever? With IE temporary internet files were on my computer. Is that how Google does it or do they use a variation of their sky drive so the files aren't even on my computer? If its not taking space on my computer I don't care but if it is I would like to be able to get rid of it once in a while.
Thanks!

I was a user of Google chrome. I also use Norton and I can delete my tracking cookies by doing a quick scam. Off topic, I liked Google chrome, but after a period of time (maybe weeks) it would not open some sites and would crash and burn and sometimes freeze. I started using Bing, which was designed to work with Microsoft.

Zoot, I can get rid of cookies too but its the temporary internet files that I'm wondering about.
Hey, are you in Missoula? I know one of the zoots was there. I'll be there in mid Aug for a wedding but haven't decided if I'll have time to ride.

JM..nope I'm in NorCal..I picked "Zootracer" as it was one of the handles that was not taken on the old VeloNews forum (way back when)...

JM..you can go into your control panel, then 'Performance and Maintenance', then 'Free Up Space on your hard disc' and it will remove temporary Internet Files..that's what I did when I used Google Chrome.

Zootracer, was there a zootown at one time over on the old forum or was that you too?
I don't have 'performance and maintenance' in my control panel. Thanks though.
