Well done! Do you have a background in construction or just pick up the skills as you go? Or maybe this is just art by another form?

Really like the design -- very clean. Looks like a lovely area, too.

Chinook - In order for us to afford this move, I needed to do the construction to keep the costs down. I have some experience in construction, but not formal. I'm anal retentive and thus obsess about how to do things, so I was well prepared, although that type of personality does not necessarily allow for a "fun" experience ; )

Thanks, VT.

Huck, does it take you an entire day to cut cable housing to the exact length when you build up a new bike? I enjoy building new bikes until I get to that and then my OCD destroys me.

jm. Cable housing is relatively easy, it's getting the bars centered that takes me forever. Our house has a similar modern style to huck's. The guy that had it built was OCD said the builder. The original owner is an airline pilot. Many pilot's I met are like that.

I had to let a few things go - it's not perfect by any means, but that drove me crazy ; )

2 bedrooms seems a little smallish for all the phorum visitors. Are you planning a guest house?

Awesome work otherwise and awesome location.
