Do you clear your browsing history/data periodically? When I used Internet Explorer I cleared my temporary internet files about once a month. It just occurred to me that in a year of using Chrome, I've never cleared my browsing history/data. I'm assuming that browsing history/data is Chromes way of handling temporary internet files...is that correct?

I usually clear my browsing history after each session, or a couple times a day, (depending if I remember or not). Yes, it clears temporary internet files also. You can select which items you want cleared by checking the boxes when you click on 'clear browsing browsing data'...

I'm sure I have too many to go through and check boxes.

So do you just click: history---clear browsing data?

I thought I was anal doing it every month with IE, but you do it every day, that should keep things nice and tidy! I don't know why I've never done it with Chrome. I guess because its a different process than I was used to? I also don't know why it didn't occur to me until this morning.

Yeah, just click on that triple squiggly line upper right, then click on 'history', then 'clear browsing data'. I just have the two upper boxes checked as I don't want to delete all my cookies or log on date. I'm a little OCD, so I'm sure I don't need to delete my history files as often as I do. Maybe once a week would be good enough...

If you go into "settings" you can set up Chrome so that it automatically deleted browsing history when you close out the browser session.

I thought this was going to be about the fact that the home page here, at least for me, hasn't changed in many months. Is something going on? Why is the "news" about the Tour of Qatar? I've just been avoiding this site, not sure why it isn't updating.

The person who runs the site is a personal friend of mine. He ran out of money. He is keeping the forum open as a favor to us.

'ctrl shift n' gets you on the web without leaving any trace on your browser history in chrome.
