the girlfriend had knee surgery on friday so that kept me close to the house. saturday afternoon at about the time we were getting on each other's nerves i rode the bike downtown to the annual art's festival. fortunately it's in the same location as the local brewery so i walked around checking out the art and drinking a few stouts. the air was nice and crisp, perfect thick beer temps. the beauty of the bike ride was i could cruise down without spending half an hour looking for parking and then still having to walk a mile to get to the festival and then cruise home with a slight buzz that was nearly gone when i got home. i was also gifted a ticket to the local symphony on saturday night so i dressed up a bit and rode back down to the performance hall. awesome show. it's amazing how all those musicians come together to create something bigger than their sum. it was also nice to see a show where not everyone is videoing the show with their phones and talking through the performance but then again the crowd was mostly blue hairs. again a nice cruise home in the cool nighttime temps. i probably racked up 10 miles but i really worked my cultural muscles.

If I were an uber rich member of the leisure class, that would be just how I'd spend a lot of my days. Well lived.
