Ads on the screen

I've been living with all the advertisements on my screen since getting a new computer. Figured the revenue was probably helping some of the sites I like. But OC posted yesterday a link to a site talking about the current Pacific storms. Went to it and found an ad with apparently no way to remove covering the top third of my screen. For me, the last straw. Duck Duck'd Adblock and have my screen back.

Sorry advertisers. I gave you a chance. For three months. But what you did today was completely NOT OK. You blew it..

Interesting I didn’t notice any ads on that link. Maybe I have an adblocker already haha.

I get tons of ads on my Mac. I have used an adblocker before but then get a message that won't allow me to view their site until I turn off the blocker. Will have to try duck duck. lI use their search site as default.
