After a week of not riding a bike I had a bit of energy to spare and hauled this baby with 6 backpacks over a 2.5 km undulating gravel road at record speed, coming around 45 min. Other than that canoeing sucks as cross-training but a couple of day with brain spinning at zero revolutions rocks.

Close, Murtle Lake in Wells Gray PP. Friends of ours did Bowron this year with their 2 10yr olds; portaging with a 20' canoe and supplies for 9 days was apparently a bit challenging but they managed. It's on our bucket list with Murtle being a trial to see how the kids would digest the experience.

ps. see how my kids @ 10yrs have learned how to properly wear caps. Tommy D should take note.
