Sunday morning I was heading to the airport with my sister. About a mile from her place there was a cyclist on the ground with a car stopped and several cyclist and motorists standing around. We were cutting it close to my departure but pulled over anyway. She helped check him out; he had some road rash and had no recollection of what happened but of course, asked about the bike. I gave him the full report—torn bar tape, slight scuffing on the saddle and right shift lever but nothing broken. He seemed relieved
Looked like he washed out in the corner, no car incident and the other cyclist were just in the area and heard him go down.
Turns out the cyclist was a surgeon she works with. 67 years old on a beautiful Colnago Master Light with Record 10v and Campy wheels.
She checked on him after my departure and he told her he left his place to ride that morning but noticed he had a broken spoke so he went back to get his other bike.
His OTHER bike? If his B bike is a Master Light with full Record, what’s his A bike?
