117 miles....did the Racine 70.3 course twice today wanted to get a full IM distance ride in, so I did the course twice.

First lap was done at half-IM pace and plan was to do the second at IM pace. But I fell behind on my nutrition on the first lap and was paying for it when I went back out. BIG time. In a way, it may have been a good thing because I had to figure out how to get myself out of it as quickly as possible w/o throwing everything away. So I crammed some calories in, dialed back my effort until the calories kicked in. Mede the whole second lap harder, but I was able to get back up to my power goals eventually. Total distance still pales compared to thinline's recent epic ride, but it left me pretty damn knackered!!!
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

That sounds like me 2 weekends ago when I started 200k on 4 Nutella sandwiches.

The real question is did you feel like running 26miles afterwards?

Was this 5 hrs on the Shiv?

Fook no!!! But I also did the first lap MUCH harder than I would have for the first 56 miles of an IM bike leg. I could have definitely run at the end, but not 26 miles. I'll do at least one more 100+ ride, but at IM pace and see how I feel then.

Yeah....no issues holding aero almost the whole ride, although I was a little cramped in my shoulders at the end.
