RNDDUDE, Keith and Terrapin are active here. I think I saw 6ix also.

I took a quick visit over at the old place. The remaining three were gloating that the spam drove all of us out and they now have tho place to themselves. I gotta admit they're on to something. Spam will never talk back.

If you want a real laugh go back to the old stomping grounds and look up pages 438, 437, 436... this was right after the new forum replaced the old one-- you remember, the one with the post tally? Anyway, it's a stroll down memory lane: Superfrenchie calling out LA, Danboo threatening to leave, AF whining that Barry called him out-- man, I laughed myself silly this morning reading some of that stuff.

If you really want a laugh check this thread out:

I'm just happy to have gotten through the registration hoops. I think that without the knowledge of others going through the busted security certificate and object not found errors I would have turned back already. It's kinda like putting out a 'go away' mat in front of the main door here.

here's band member's plea to the spambots for restraint...

"This board should be open for everyone to post. We dont mind a few posts about products we might be interested but that should not be the main reason you vist the board. The old mods wanted a spam free board, which we realize is not posible or ethical. The Velonews Forum is a place that welcomes everyone and everything, as long as its legal. So what I am asking is that you cut back on the amount of product posts you post on on this board and we might even click on some and buy a thing or two. Otherwise I would hate to hae it where it went back to the way it was before. Plus you will eventually ruin the board for everyone. I know that you guys in your country think Americans are great people to sell stuff to but there is only so much stuff we can buy.

Thanks for your cooperation."

Holy nuts. Got curious about what it looked like over there. Saw this thread, entitled "Message to Spammers." I've got to think I've just taken the bait on this one, right? I'm dying laughing here.

Hammer meet nail. I've deleted all my bookmarks for the old board. No need to head back that way anymore.

I still visit the VeloNews website itself. I like posting in the comments section there. But, I no longer visit the their forums. It is pointless as the spam is 90% of the posts.

@PC_Rider - you are correct - there was no "Registration" option visible and the Login wasn't meant to bring any attention - we had given up on the forums a long time ago, and got caught by surprise - I'm working on getting things back in order, just need a little time.

Thanks!
