*nod to Nick's thread*

So on a lark, I entered the lottery for the Chicago Marathon....damn if I didn't get in.

So now my summer of no racing / serious training and working on my golf handicap is gonna be replaced with lots of long runs.

More updates to come....

This should be posted in the Dark Side.

I reconnected with a buddy from our cycling club in Netherlands days (way back in 80s) last year. He's gone over to dark side; his annual big event is a Marathon somewhere in the Swiss Alps. He's run some of the Pyrenee cols for fun. There's your future :-)

Oh way. As much as I love climbing on my bike, I absolutely abhor hills when running.

I just wanna run the whole damn thing after my less-than-stellar run at IM Madison last year.

I ran that race the first or second year it was held. As I recall, the course was really flat...but it was still hard.

Oh no! Classic, "be careful what you wish for". I've heard stories of a couple of classic cars that have been bought that way on eBay. (My bid won't be the high bid.) LOL.
