Fell on my ass on Saturday. Got road rash on my hip, butt and thigh (all covered by shorts). How is everyone treating it these days?
Please take this quick road rash survey.

Well it worked when I tested it. I'll try again. |

Is there a N/A category, high-speed downhill black ice crash does not generate road rash apparently :-) Cracked rib, bum knee, but no significant road rash in recent years. |

Same here. Last time I hit the pavement was due to ice on the road. Fractured pelvic bone but no road rash. |

Fell last Wednesday, 36.1 mph according to Garmin 800 just before 0.0, on a slick chip sealed descent in North Alabama. Was with five others and all but on went down. Broken shoulder and four broken ribs, this was a vacation ride from Chattanooga to Destin, Fl., making for a 3:40:00 vacation. Terrible rash on hip and shoulder, went right to daily treatment with Silvadene (sp?) cream, new Rx branded SSD 1% Silver Sulfadiazine cream. Best stuff I've ever used for serious rash. |

12x23, you have my sympathy. I know all too well what you are feeling. Bright side? It doesn't last forever, just feels that way. I hope the good drugs are not a problem for you. I found them a godsend. Not only kept the pain at bay but allowed me to relax my chest and shoulder (collarbone for me both times with massive soft tissue also the first time) and that relaxation clearly helped the bones to knit sooner. And the rest of you? If you want to get on 12x23's schitt list really fast, crack just one good joke. Dead serious here. Ben |

Yep Ben, jokes, sneezes, coughs, throat clearing, nose blowing, yawning, all off the list for the next few weeks. |

Gracias to all! Today is one week, still miserable though at least becoming manageable, and slept in my bed last night. Haven't taken any meds as I live alone and have to drive to work - back in office Monday morning. Had MRI this morning and anxious to get on with attacking test results. |
