My brother-in-law asked for Merek carbon riser bars for his mtb. I've never heard of mere before and upon looking all I can find is they're out of Taiwan and are cheap, like $60 cheap). Something tells me to stay away but wanted to see if any of you know of them....

Brand aside, I'm not a fan of carbon bars period for MTB's.

Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

No problem with carbon bars on a mountain bike, but not the Taiwanese knock-off variety

My brother in law has crappy bike tools and what not, he's getting one of these and a set of, and get this, matching allen wrenches:

The only place I've seen Merek carbon goodies for sale is on ebay. If that means anything.
