I can't vouch for the validity of this, but it seems real.... http://www.mintpressnews.com/quebec-police-cops-run-cyclist-minor-infraction-handcuffed-dies/196431/

Its real, I saw this couple days ago on CBC; a minor outrage in the community there. Generally though Quebec is one of the better places for cycling on this continent; and heck they got those Pro races coming up with a bunch of cycling eventts aroun them.

In Canada cycling is very accepted in Quebec as a sport but as a commuter? I don't know. I now live on the west coast and politically cycling is well supported in the lower mainland and lower Vancouver Island.

Montreal ranks up there, right after Victoria and Vancouver in terms of bike participation in commuter mix and amount of bike infrastructure.

The case is still with Surete Du Quebec

Report says patrol cars brakes failed while backing up, then they put it in drive and ran over him again. And they handcuffed him while blood was coming out of his mouth (?).....
