175km, lined up for next Friday. This will be a first for me in March. The do or die segment for Spring Classics training. Single digits and rain in the forecast to set the tone. With all the hilly riding in past weeks, the need for discs has become readily apparent. Heading down a 10% grade to a busy 4way stop in the rain is interesting at times and right of way cannot always be given. So a new winter steed is also in the forecast.

ooo, I did 80km mostly on gravel last Monday solo and it was way more than I was ready for. I haven't been on the road bike for months. Need to dust it off and log some miles to gear.

Oh I am soooo looking forward to this....on the upside it sounds like I'll have a huge tailwind for the first half
Cloudy. Periods of rain beginning in the morning. 20-30 mm. Wind southeast 40 km/h except gusting to 70 near the water in the morning. High 11.

Good luck.
Looking at 14 days forecast, it alternates between variations of rain that one can only have on the wet coast. Patience has run out. (Edit - yes it is CK else it would'n rain :-)

The weather really sucks in the PNW this year. We had at least 20 days of rain in each of the last four months, i.e. rain 2 out of every three days. It's the third highest rain season recorded in Seattle. We've already reached our yearly average, after only five months.
Feb was my second lowest mileage in 15 months. I agree, it's time to hit the road rain or not.

And... done. First 60k were dry but once the hose opened it didn't let up for next 110k. Brutal. Maybe Monday again. Seriouly ran out of juice, the burger shack I had planned for halfway point wasn't open yet so had to make do with banana bread and muffin from general store. Despite the atrocious conditions its pretty awesome to ride the Sea to Sky.
