That is one seriously wicked-looking bike! Kinda like a stealth fighter jet but with big, bold letters! I like how you maintained the black/white/red color theme. That was just an accident, right?

Di2 is fantastic. The only thing I'm running into is that my 7900-series Di2 features wiring that works with...nothing. All of the new frames feature cable guides and routing made for E-tube wiring. I found that out the hard way when trying to move my parts to another frame.

I have no constructive criticism on the build at all. That's rare. Bet that sucker moves!

Old product guys don't die, they just work on their own bikes.

All my bikes have to have some degree of red in them, the more the better. This is, by far, the least amount of red I have had on a bike in a long time.

Did a 50 miler today on it.....really happy with the bike and build. The ride is a tad stiff, but should smooth out once I get some better rubber on it.

Bummer you have the 7900 stuff.....I'm glad I waited on going Di2 until the new stuff came out. I'm thinking I'll eventually add the climber remote shifters near the stem at some point.

i happened to park my bike next to one of those yesterday when we stopped at the convenience store. it looked like a cat about to pounce.

Wheel & Sprocket....they had a bunch if OEM kits from Trek for the main pieces (F&R der, shifters, junction box A) for $500. Called them up and they helped figure out what else I needed. Came to $1K total. Again, it is the battery and charger that kills you....$300 just for those two parts!!

Looks like a bike where you don't have to worry about which way the wind is blowing when you head out.

CK.....how is charging that battery going for you? You can't hide over there on Slowtwitch. I think I'll go work on my mechanical set up.

No, everything is working fine. I'm just trying to figure out how to charge the battery. Because of how I cobbled everything together, I may have missed something. User error, not anything with the system.

I was also checking the battery level incorrectly. I was getting a red light and thought it was almost dead. but that was because I was pressing the button to adjust the auto-trim feature, not check battery level. Again, user error.

All is good....just working through a kink.

How do you like the Di2? I'm in the beginning stages if researching a new road bike and an thinking about going whole hog on the components.

I don't have Di2 but I recently got mechanical Durace 9000 and I will say wow. I had 7900 , 10 speed before. The new Shimano shifting is really sweet, a huge upgrade in feel. I ran the new cables in my old housing. Installation and setup was pretty easy. They changed some off the entry / exit points so you have to look around a bit to find them, but it went smooth enough

I could do without the extra gear but what can you do.

Yeah, everything I have heard about the DA 9000 stuff is overwhelmingly positive. A fine choice.
