What handlebar mounted, blinking, bright as the sun, light are you using? Want to make myself more visible. |

I literally just bought these today on Amazon.....combined total of about $100. Seemed entirely reasonable and worth a gamble buying sight-unseen. One is 860 lumens and the other is 960 lumens. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PWSEJ1G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WSWBAFM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

700 lumin Night Rider on medium setting (if it's on high beam it only lasts for 90-minutes) plus a 400 lumin Joystick helmet light on high. Plenty of light for up to a 2 1/2 hour ride. |

Whatever you get, just realize there is a special place in hell for you if you insist on strobing that thing on the bike path. knuckle-draggers... |

700 lumen Night Rider as well. With current dawn/dusk lighting in strobo setting, very effective at chasing cars off the shoulder. When it gets darker I use solid beam (strobo get nutty on the eyes) in medium setting, reverting back to strobo at the tricky intersections for added visibility.
LOL - Chinook - I just read your post +1 on that. It's OK now but when its dark...wicked |

I bought these two lights a year ago. The combo works well for me since I use them on both my road and mountain bikes. I can run the 200 lumen light on my helmet and the 800 on my bars when I'm on the mountain bike or if I need higher visibility on the road. Most of the time I find that the 200 lumen light is plenty for my needs on the road bike (and it doesn't blind others on the trail) so I just put it on my bars and leave the 800 lumen light at home. http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1132453_-1_400903__400903 http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1150355_-1_400903__400903 And this is the tail light that I use - it's plenty bright. http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1132451_-1_400903__400903

My MTB lights are, a Light Motion Seca 2000 on the bar, and a Niterider 750 Lumina on the helmet. These are a bit much, but I commute to the trails on the Lumina low setting, and med for most of the ride, then on high during the descent The Niterider is great around town, but I have other options from Serfas for that, a TSL 300 and a TSL 550. Best tail light is the LED Thunderbolt strip style from Serfas, bright as heck, lasts for hours on high, and flashing mode, USB rechargeable, been using a couple for going on three years. I revived the charger for my Niterider Dual 400, this one is great for short rides, and what I love is that it is two separate lights, so you can dial in the light beam to your tastes as far as lights go, I'm a firm believer that more is better, and you can never have "Too Much" light |

+1 on the Thunderbolt....I use it on almost all my rides now 9and yes, that measn daytime rides). Actually, I am also riding with a flashing front light almost all the time now as well. Figure anything I can do to get myself noticed by the texting and driving mom / teen / business guy as soon as possible is a good thing. |

Daytime pulsating headlamps are now available for motorcycles. They really get your attention. |

I use a Niterider 350. It is helmet mounted, and I look down and to the side when passing an opposing bike on the trail. I like the ability to point it at cars. I only use flash on the road in sketchy conditions. The 700, which I started with, was too bright for the trail, even on it's lowest setting. It was ridiculous in fog. I use a Serfas USL-TL60 taillight. |

Plus 1 on the pulsing lights, I'm out before dawn, at about 5:30, and when I'm wrapping up my rides, I almost always find the sun at my back, the NiteRider Lumina 750 has a great flashing mode, really gets people's attention, and it's on the helmet, so you can look right at someone, then they get it... |

CK, I received my front light from Amazon on Saturday. Went for a spin around the hood Saturday night. Plenty of light. Stobe feature brought me back to my 70's rock & roll days, when we used to use a strobe on stage. Great light for the $$$ |
