Your opinion? Cervelo P-3, 11v, mediocre wheels https://www.theproscloset.com/collections/triathlon-bikes/products/cervelo-p3-54cm-bike-2015 --or-- Trek Speed Concept. 10v, Quark, Zipp tubular 404's https://www.theproscloset.com/collections/triathlon-bikes/products/trek-speed-concept-7-0-54cm-bike-2012 This is for a one time stage race, the plan is to sell the bike after the Tour of the Gila in May so resale factors in. I like the Zipps, tubulars, Quark on the Trek I like the 11v and Ultegra on the Cervelo I'm leaning towards the Trek for $650 less. Also wondered about selling the wheels separate and slapping on a set of clinchers when I sell it. Tubulars seem to spook most people and I could use them for cross

The Trek, with the Zipps, will absolutely be faster. Both are really good frame designs, maybe a slight nod to the Cervelo in terms of aero, but that nod is overshadowed by the wheels.
Now if you have a decent set of carbon wheels already, maybe use those on the Cervelo for some marginal gains. But between the two bikes, hands down go withe the Trek.
10 vs 11spd won't make you any faster, but will help with resale. And yes, tubulars definitely wig people out, so that could hamper resale as well.
But the Quark is a nice "get" at that price....if it is compatible with one of your other bikes, I'd keep it and resell without it.
One other note - the Cervelo does come with the Magura hydraulic brakes, which are very sweet. Aero, strong and modulate well. But since you are not keeping the bike, dunno if that matters much to you. ETA - it looks like the HB on the Cervelo has been photoshopped (and poorly). I went to check out which base bar it has (3T Aura....great bar) and the image looked funky. Zoomed in and you can clearly see that something has been altered. That alone is enough for me to steer away from that one, I think.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I think you should race the Warthog at Gila.
Or is that particular n+1 negated by the above? There has been some silence on this front.
Just to close the loop between rantings on different platforms.
