My 1992 Santana Sovereign is on it's last legs... rust never sleeps and I've not been the best about religiously cleaning and Boeshielding it.
The result is some pinholes in the stoker seat tube.
It'll be close to a grand to replace the seat tube and repaint. I can cobble together a patch and rattle can something close to a match for a couple hundred but it's 25 years old.
I'll likely do the patch and give the bike to someone wanting to get into tandeming. The bike doesn't owe me anything, I've seen some great miles with it-- cross Kansas with one daughter, cross Missouri with another, and loads of day trips, exploring back roads with my daughters, and now with my wife who is game for about any adventure.
A buddy of mine bought a Commotion Carrara hoping his wife would get into tandeming... she didn't.
Anyway, we struck a deal and a two year old tandem with less than 100 miles in my garage waiting for a warm day.
I know... worthless without pics. Tough luck, too busy to mess with that today
When you get a tandem, is it N+1 or N+2?
