Just to put the Chip Seal thread in perspective.

"Paris-Roubaix's Orchies sector"

"The cobbles of Orchies are quite different from those of Arenberg"

Yikes!  "These aren't your every day cobbles. These are Paris-Roubaix cobbles."

"The cobbles of the Arenberg forest were recently 'cleaned'"

"The horrible cobbles of the Arenberg forest"

"Grass grows in between the cobbles of the Arenberg forest"

And in between: Lots of cobbles on the upcoming NCAA nats course in 3 weeks, same course that will be used for the 2015 worlds. Some cobbled sections are pretty rough (not PR rough, but the Richmond course ain't flat, either). Very cool urban course. This will be fun to watch.
