50 minutes ahead (behind?) next to last and gets lapped on the Champs Elysees.

That, my friends, is an outstanding performance!

I seriously miss the black jersey. Those outside cycling have no idea how cool it is to have that notoriety and would likely think it's insulting but it's part of cycling's culture. The near track stands that used to take place to secure last place without missing the time cut are legendary.

Cheng Ji deserves some massive kudos. Getting lapped on the Champs and having to do one final lap on your own? Ugh.....

And, I believe, he is the first Chinese rider to complete Le Tour.

Ting Hao!!! (Chinese for "Very Good")
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

What!?! It wasn't like a crit where everyone finish on the same lap? That stinks.

I don't think I have ever seen a Lanterne Rouge win with such a commanding "performance"...NINE minutes down on the Champs...infamous sometimes is better than famous!

He never got to complete the final lap on Champs because the public started taking over the road after peleton finished; the race committee decided to show mercy. He was lapped because he was caught in that crash that also took out Peraud.

Heck yeah! Who was in 2nd place behind Cheng Ji? Nobody will remember him.

Vim can't hold a candle to this performance.

And don't forget the Lanterne Rouge gets good appearance money in post Tour criteriums!

i believe he's going to say f*ck the crits and go home (after 8 months of being gone), be with his new wife and heal up his knee. for all the work he did dragging kittel back up to the breakaways i'm surprised they didn't make him wear a rickshaw hat ;-)
