For Smokey. I thought we could all post pics of our bikes - that surely makes us all happy... Me first... My main road ride - now with red saddle and tape... My museum piece - C40 with Geo paint scheme... My Lugi - just after I bought it off Ebay - no longer has that saddle or those wheels... And my latest love - no longer has the FSA POS crankset, which delaminated from the spindle... Damn! I can't wait... I showed you mine, now show me yours - give Smokey a reason to check back more frequently ; )

P.S. Ben - your listings of your bikes on the "sad" post made me think of this - so I expect to see those beauties of yours...

My bikes are too dirty and dusty to post. Which means they're getting heavy use :-)

Nice collection Huck!

Huck, I haven't joined the digital age yet so descriptions will have to suffice. (Of course, all are welcome to come over and take pictures.)

Actually I do have a picture of Jessica J, the ti fixie, but it isn't posed. From last year's Cycle Oregon, on what was billed s the steepest grade CO has seen, 14%. I'll have to learn how to post it.

Wow.
I am very much happier. The response to the sad post has been overwhelming.
Teach me how to post pictures again, and I will add my bikes and my wife's hand-pedal trike to the thread. (It sounds like Ben needs instructions too.) My next big ride is the MS Cape Cod Getaway at the end of June. Our kids are riding too. I would like to persuade my wife to ride with us, but she does not like to be put on display.
Thanks to all.

Smokey -

To post an image here you need to load your photos on to a website such as Photobucket.com - which is free. Once the image is loaded there you can get a image "url" for that image. Copy the url and paste it in your message here.

And hurry up, I'm feeling a bit naked out there with my pics...

Huck, the photo of Jessica J at her finest (and a little bit of me).

I have to credit this to an unknown cameraman at Cycle Oregon last fall. It was taken on Day 4 as we climbed a 2 miler that touched 14 and 14.5%. This was the steepest section. As you can see, I forgot to flip my wheel around. (No one would tell me at the start of this climb that it was the big one. I didn't want to use the low gear for the little stuff before it. And by the time I figured it out, I was going. Stopping? No way!

Edit:  It worked!

I'll bet that chain whip comes in handy with dogs.

Naw, it is held in place with toestraps.  Quick release - yes.  Fast enough for dogs - no.  And while it might look formidable, it weighs just over 12 oz.  But works really well.  I pull both the hub and lockring with the Pedro's fix gear wrench under the seatbag.  Spare cog(s) are velvro'd to the other side of the seatbag.  I'm riding a 17t.  Other side is a 23t and there is a 12t on the seatbag.
