Good ride today. The ride with the kids will be next week-end: Boston to Provincetown, the Cape Cod Getawey MS ride.

Had a good ride myself...solo 93 miles on the TT bike at a decent power level. Then plopped my ass on the couch to watch the US Open.

Good day all around.

Smokey, I did a ride a few times several years back that left from the Harpoon brewery on the waterfront in Boston and ended at their brewery in Vermont. Riding through downtown Boston at 5:00 a.m. was very cool.

thinline, I agree; riding in city centers during quiet times can be lots of fun. A few years ago, I did the NYC Century with my daughter. It's a September ride and is not closed to traffic. It starts in the dark on the north end of Central Park and heads south, eventually on Broadway through Times Square with all the marquee lights flashing. We crossed the Brooklyn Bridge with the rising sun sending our shadows along the East River. There was a stop at the Kissena Velodrome in Queens, a first for me.
