Banner popup on the top of the screen in Firefox. Adblock plus does not block. Ads shoved in my face this way only guarantee I will not look at or buy the product. Any suggestions on how to block?

Figgered it out. Needed to tweak some adblock plus settings that a firefox upgrade had undone.

OK, sarcasm noted, don't mean to be ungrateful about what you and this forum provide. I apologize for appearing to undercut the financial side of the forum.
FWIW:
I for one actually like targeted web ads, but with some very important qualifications:
1. an ad should load fast and not delay loading of page content,
2. the ad should not block the content, and
3. The add should not jump, scroll, have audio or otherwise overtly distract from the page content.
For me at least, any of these turns me off to the product/company, and results in a mental note to hate the advertiser and never buy what they are selling. Irritating ads backfire.
It's ads like that that initiated this thread.
If you have the power, please and by all means delete this thread so as not to upset anyone.

No worries LSD - I keep this online for you guys and for history's sake since there is a lot of great content on the site from the years past.
If all of you are interested, I could look into putting a much better forum in place - I don't think it would take too much effort, but I'd need some help moderating to keep the idiots that ruin good forums at bay.
LOL - SideBySide, so you're where the .23 a month comes from - thanks!

Clicking on the left side takes me to Amazon, I should use that as my link to it.
