Hey, I've been xiamen a couple times.
How do you like the traffic?

If you're near the hotel district try out the trails in Xianyue park. Also check out the Botanical Garden. Both are kind of cool.

Driving in China's cities (or more accurately...being driven) is one of the most hair-raising driving experiences I have ever had. Traffic signals and controls are mere window dressing, it is all about putting your car in a place where another driver wants to be, and ultimately someone yields, at the last possible moment. And your horn is your best friend. Totally surreal, but my Chinese friends claim that this is nothing compared to Thailand. I am actually about 120 clicks inland of Xiamen, incredibly green and beautiful. The pace of building is insane, high-rise apartments (30+ stories) are going up everywhere as fast as they can build them.

Oh, going back to the original topic, I do go back on occasion, sort of like watching a train wreck, it's hard to not look at. I told myself not to post there again, but as band member was casting personal aspersions about me (and Jah) I could not help myself. He might be amusing if he wasn't so....well I can't seem to come up with an appropriate word. Check it our for yourselves....

It is like watching someone pee into a tornado definitely wondering if it is as I suspected and it is the same person with a multiple personality thing crying for help

I have a great malapropism for the remaining poster, certain to be lost on him/it

If you're wondering about those who didn't make the migration, read some of the reader comments below Velonews stories and look for a poster with the Facebook name of "Sergio Sergio"

Three guesses who that is, and if it takes you more than once you've not been paying attention to that annoying sycophant's writing style.

Glad he and some others chose to go down with the ship.

I noticed that guy's comments on the VN articles and wondered which of them he was, but I think he recently revealed himself to be all of them, or at least most of them. Fool(s).

Dale, actually they are not going down with the ship, but instead are forever sailing around in endless circles, being directed by captain Band. How long does it take them to make one complete circle??....well that would be 1/2/3/4/5/6/7 units of time.....

pretty sure band and spear of lance are one and the same. seems he likes talking to himself as much as he does the spambots.

y'know since we all migrated over to the new-for-us V(elo)N(ation) forum, it feels like there is a renewed sense of activity and fresh community. I like it.

please, let's make sure we keep things good here. And take appropriate action should anything threaten our good space.

It is like when you move into a new house. Nobody wants to be the first person to break something or make a big mess. Let's hope it keeps up.

These guys have some cool toys in their IT system. Really like the navigation on this forum. Very easy to get around, sort, screen, etc. And the little check box for email notifications is awesome. Saves a lot of time with replies to specific topics of interest.
