Four days into the new year, some of the riders of the Spanish Movistar team and the British Sky Procycling outfit displayed the jerseys that they will be wearing in 2012.
Big names such as Vuelta a España winner Juan Jose Cobo, 2009 winner Alejandro Valverde, Italian champion Giovanni Visconti, Spanish champion JJ Rojas, world road race champion Mark Cavendish and Vuelta a España podium finisher Bradley Wiggins have all carried out catwalk duties; the results can be viewed below.
The riders will have varied targets for the year ahead. Wiggins, Cavendish, Valverde and Cobo will all target the Tour de France, while some of the other riders will chase other goals.
Both teams know that cooperation is the key word, with the big guns from each squad needing to co-exist well with their fellow leaders in order to maximise their chances.
