Following on from today’s first big summit finish, another such ending is in store for the riders on stage 15 of the Giro d’Italia. This stage is regarded as being tougher, though, with a very lumpy second half comprising the first category Valico di Valcava, the third category Forcella di Bura, plus the second category pairing of the Culmme di San Petro and the finishing climb of the Piani del Resinelli.
The stage is one of the most difficult of this year’s Giro, and could have a major effect on the general classification.
