Henderson takes stage, while Valverde seals the overall

Spaniard Alejandro Valverde won the 89th edition of the Volta a Catalunya today, while Columbia High-Road's sprinter Greg Henderson took out the sprint for the stage.

The 110km between Sant Cugat and the motor racing circuit at Montmelo had no impact on the general classification meaning Daniel Martin (Garmin-Slipstream) gets second place with Spaniard Haimar Zubeldia coming in third.

2. Lloyd Mondory (FRA) AG2R La Mondiale
3. Fabio Sabatini (ITA) Liquigas
4. Thor Hushovd (NOR) Cervelo Test Team
5. Pablo Urtasun (SPA) Euskaltel - Euskadi

2. Daniel Martin (IRL) at 15sec
3. Haimar Zubeldia (ESP) 22
