Italian Emanuele Sella will be making his return to professional cycling with the CarmioOro A-Style team after serving a one year ban for doping.

Sella tested positive for CERA, the third generation EPO, in an out of competition control on July 23, 2008. Earlier that year he had won three stages in the Giro d'Italia, and taken home the race's King of the Mountains prize.

He was called to testify before the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) on August 8, 2008. In his testimony he to admitted using the drug, and agreed to cooperate with the investigators. His willingness to help the authorities led to his sentence being decreased by one year.

Sella is set to take part in the Tre Valli Varesine, Coppa Agostoni, Coppa Bernocchi and Trofeo Melinda with his new team.
