He’s just signed a deal to compete with the Cervélo Test Team in 2010, but Theo Bos is returning to the boards.

However the former track world champion is not having a chance of heart; he won’t be going back to sprinting in the World Cup events, but will instead ride the Amsterdam and Rotterdam Six Days, running from October 19th to 24th and January 7th to 12th respectively.

According to De Telegraaf, the Dutchman will partner Peter Schepers in the races. Schepers triumphed in Rotterdam last year with the Majorcan rider Juan Llaneras.

Bos faces a bit of a balancing act as he will have to ensure he gets enough rest after his first full road season and has his batteries fully recharged before starting with Cervélo.

The switch to six day racing will tie in better with his new career due to the greater focus on endurance and recovery. If it goes well it will also give the 26 year old a mental boost prior to taking on the likes of Mark Cavendish in the big gallops.
