Bruno Risi and Franco Marvulli have increased their lead after four nights in the Zurich Six-Day race. The Swiss duo won both Madison races and have now a one-lap lead over Germans Leif Lampater and Christian Grasmann.

But the race is still tight, as the one lap lead is only thanks to the bonus lap that Risi/Marvulli received when they went past 200 points. They have 222 points versus the 190 of Lampater/Grasmann.

The first Madison over 220 laps (44km) was real exciting. First Risi/Marvulli gained a lap, which was countered by a double lap gain of Lampater/Grasman, according to 06.live-radsport.ch. Only eight laps before the end the Swiss duo managed to bring the score back to a tie. Risi/Marvulli also won the second Madison and proved they really want the win on home soil.

Places three and four are also held by Swiss and German riders. Alexander Aeschbach and Tristan Marguet from Switzerland are third, two laps behind at 189 points. Danilo Hondo and Christian Bach of Germany are in fourth place, at four laps and with 162 points.

UIV Youth Cup

In the UIV Cup it was Claudio Imhof/Silvan Dillier again who dominated. They won the 30km Madison in a new best time of 34min (avg of 52.94 km/h), which was five seconds faster than on opening night. Imhof/Dillier gained two laps on their closest rivals and continue to lead the overall.

Americans Danny Heeley/Ian Moir are still hoping for a place on the podium; they are currently ranked fourth.
