RadioShack changes training camp destination

The new American RadioShack team will hold a training camp in Calpe, in the Murcia region of Spain, from February 4 to 14. Initially, the camp was scheduled to be held on the Spanish island of Teneriffe. The logistics, including the ferry scheduling, prompted the team to change plans, according to rmc.fr.

Not the whole team will be going to Spain, though, as the Tour Down Under nominees will be recovering from the first ProTour race this season (January 19-24). Lance Armstrong, Daryl Impey, Jason McCartney, Yaroslav Popovych, Sébastien Rosseler, Gert Steegmans and Tomas Vaitkus are scheduled to race in Australia.

Belgian Team Quick Step will also train in Calpe, from January 11 to 21.
