Aurélien Duval's contract with the French Française des Jeux team was prematurely ended after his B-sample confirmed the positive reading of norfenfluramine, Wielerflits reports.

Duval was tested on October 1, during the Circuit Franco Belge. The French federation (FFC) will now decide how long the rider will be suspended. The 21-year-old still has a whole career in front of him, even with a two-year suspension.

Duval denies that he knowingly took the substance and his lawyer published a statement, saying so.

Duval is a cyclo-cross specialist who was French champion in 2006 (juniors) and 2008 (U23). He was a stagiaire with Française des Jeux in 2008 and raced the 2009 season with the ProTour squad.
