The jerseys for the 2010 Giro were presented in Firenze and the former maglia ciclamino to show the leader in the points classification will now be red. The leader's jersey (pink), the young rider's jersey (white) and the mountain's jersey (green) stay the same, according to Wielerflits.
The jerseys were presented to the public by riders like Damiano Cunego, Ivan Basso and Giovanni Visconti. Basso had the honor of showing off the young rider's jersey, but he will be eyeing the pink leader's jersey instead. For the presentation, the pink jersey belonged to Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen, a Dutch-Spanish actress and also a TV moderator.
The change was made so the colors of the jerseys besides the pink will resemble the Italian tricolore flag (green, white and red).
