Thomas Dekker of Rabobank won the 29th edition of the Draai van de Kaai.

The Dutchman rode away from a group containing Italian Danilo di Luca, and Austrian Bernhard Kohl this years Tour de France King of the Mountains winner.

Dekker has been in the news lately for an apparent rocky relationship with his Rabobank team for alleged irregular blood values.

A letter provided to Cyclingnews by the rider from UCI doctor Dr. Mario Zorzoli stated that "(Dekker) did not exceed any limits which would have required the imposition of a declaration of incapability under UCI's current regulations."

Podium:
1. Thomas Dekker
2. Danilo di Luca
3. Bernhard Kohl
