The Italian rider, who's palmares include the Under 23 version of the Giro d’Italia in 2006 and two stages of the Tour de l’Avenir in 2007, officially signed for the team yesterday during the team photo shoot in Antwerpen, Belgium.
"I’m very proud to join this team," explaind the 23-year-old Cataldo. "For me it’s a big opportunity that I wouldn’t want to miss." This will be the riders at third season as a professional.
"Dario is a young rider that has shown his abilities," said Quick Step Boss Patrick Lefevere. "He will ride with us next year with an option for 2010 season. We believe that Dario can grow in this group and reach good results in the future."
With Cataldo’s signing it brings the Quick Step roster to 27 riders.
