The "Organiser's Guide to Road Events" was published on 4 December by the International Cycling Union.
Practical and comprehensive, it is aimed both at experienced road event organisers who want to supplement their skills, as well as new organisers seeking the knowledge they require to put on a first event. The Guide will also be of interest to anyone who wants to know about the complexities of race organisation and the related regulatory requirements.
The UCI has already sent a copy of the Guide to all organisers of events on the UCI International Calendar as well as to the 173 National Federations and all International Commissaires.
Anyone who would like to receive a copy, or additional copies, of the "Organiser's Guide to Road Events" should contact the UCI Road Department (route@uci.ch) indicating the number of copies required and the preferred language (English or French). The Guide costs 25 euros (cost price).
The "Organiser's Guide to Road Events" will also soon be available via the "Publications" section of the UCI website.
