Northern Italy has been hit hard by snowfall causing some of the Lampre-NGC Team to relocate to a climate more conducive for training.

Team leader Damiano Cunego along with teammates Marco Marzano and Mirco Lorenzetto will be heading to San Vicenzo in Tuscany with Director Sportif Brent Copeland for better training conditions.

"I have resumed training for several weeks now, but we are experiencing a very cold winter," explained Cunego. "Now that snow is is on the ground it is difficult to train effectively. I thought it would be appropriate to move to a place where you can continue with greater continuity in preparation."

The cyclists will remain in the Tuscan village until the weather conditions in northern Italy improve.

The first training camp for Lampre-NGC in 2009 is scheduled January 19-27 and will likely be held in San Vincenzo.
