The young and talented rider won the road race today over the 102 km course, 40 seconds ahead of her closet rivals Ruth Corset and Bikki Butterfield. Ryan launched her decisive attack on the final climb up Mt Buninyong on the tenth and final lap. "To be honest, I was a bit nervous today and didn't know what to expect," said the elated Ryan. "Today I felt really strong and the other girls were tiring so I had to make my move and back myself, really." Carla also won the Australian Time Trial Title earlier this week.
