Milram team captain Linus Gerdemann has decided to leave the island of Mallorca to train in warmer weather. After having to take a long break at the end of 2008 because of an intestinal infection, the 26-year-old left his teammates last weekend and headed to South Africa.
Gerdemann finds the summer temperatures and sunshine in Cape Town the perfect weather in which to build up his form. It is not yet known yet how long he will remain in South Africa, but it is more important for the team that he take advantage of the good conditions for training.
The rest of the Milram team remains in Mallorca braving the colder temperatures.
