Circut Race.

Legs felt ok from yesterday, i guess, but the hardest thing about today was getting out of bed. Not that the beds are even that comfortable but the routine has been pretty much the same every day. wake up early get breakfast (each day we have been getting up just a little bit later than the last, but still allowing ourselves enough time to get some eggs before the breakfast line closes at 7:30), go back to sleep, wake up again and spend a little time on the computer, go back to sleep or chat on the phone, go to lunch. Time has never passed so slowly.

Today was the circut race. A 75-mile race around a 3-mile course next to Fitchburg State College. Race started at 3:30. Course was pretty fast, except for the stairstep finish, but on the backside we were going 40-45 on a false downhill. The toughest part wasn't even the climbing neccessarily, although it did wear you out, the real beat down was when it got stretched out after the hill. They're were a lot of gaps toward the end, as well as a few crashes. It was a big race to the front the entire downhill and the last corner before the finish. I was probably top 30 going into the corner and finished up top a little farther back. It has been a pretty tough race so far but my first big stage race of the year. I am looking foward to the crit and hopefully I can finish a little bit better than the last three days. The harley team did pretty good with Russ, Keck, and Johnathon all getting into moves and all of us finishing top 50.
