Alexander Wetterhall is a 24 year old rider who won the Swedish time trial title in 2009. He started the 2010 season racing with the Team Spocket Continental squad and, thanks to results such as victory in the 2.2-ranked FBD Insurance Rás, a stage win in the Ringerike Grand Prix and fourth in the Lincoln International GP, he was given a stagiaire trial with the Cervélo Test Team. Quickly up to speed, taking seventh in the Tour of Denmark time trial plus 25th overall increased expectations that the trial would translate into a full pro contract. However the team decided to stop at the end of the season, meaning that he’ll race elsewhere in 2011.
