I went to that website and could not locate any completely built bikes. However they said they started at 7K. Bikes have become expensive because of disc brakes, electronic shifting and carbon wheels. It's difficult to find some bikes with plain old rim brakes.

Holy ****! I'd rather just give Carl Strong a call and have him custom build a Pursuit.

I didn't know Strong made carbon bikes until I clicked on your link. Nice but $$$$$$$$$

I've got a Strong Ti and one of the last, if not the last, lugged steel bike he made... polishes ss lugs with ss chain stays. A rolling piece of art!
His carbon stuff is amazing but I can't drop that amount of coin on one.

gees I'm kind a glad I'm an old fart who's serious riding was 20+ years ago. I spent at the time what most people though was stupid money for bike stuff. 35 bucks for a bike tire in the early 70's. Three bikes close to 2 grand. My Mondonico, a Litespeed, and a Trek 5200. No way would I have the ability to pay ten grand today even if I was in the same situation I was twenty years ago.
My mind set has always been unless you are making a living from such a high purchase it makes no sense To me its the same as spending 20 grand for a tube stereo amp. A hundred+ bucks for a cable, connecter. I'm not able to tell the difference. I love listening to my music and I have nice stuff. But going from a few grand to tens of thousand does not get me a better return. Besides my wife would kill me. She has already told me as much.

Curiously the dollar amount is close to what I made by filing tax return this afternoon. Not that I’d waste that sort of dollars on a bike. A new roof and hot water tank for house sounds more like it lol.

Zoot - we did something similar; put a cover over our deck this winter meaning I can BBQ without standing in torrential rain and don't need to shovel snow to create access to BBQ. For only the price of one bike.
Buying a second hand electric beater was also roughly the price of one of these bikes. We bought it for my wife to commute to work but she's been working from home with Covid. Now our kid uses it to scoot all over town to go hiking etc. with his friends. They love, it, their parents make them pay for fuel but the electric is pretty much free.
Yesterday it was a little blustery and predictable the power went out for a few hours. Right around dinner time so spaghetti and meatballs was only half done and we went for BBQ backup plan. Really starting to like the sound of the Tesla solar/battery pack option.

I had a chuckle when I read the first sentence. "Buying a second hand electric beater was also roughly the price of one of these bikesI". I though gees do you own a restaurant and you bought a large dough beater. Only electric beater I could of that of for that price.
