Ok, who has the longest commute out here?

I'll make the start: 0.01 miles (since I work from home). Surely somebody can beat this number

PS: At least I used to have a 14-mile one-way commute...

My commute is about 14 miles each way. However, I occasionaly bump into an NCVC dude, probably around 50 or so, who lives out in Seneca, Maryland and commutes to DC everyday. His commute is 26 miles EACH WAY and he says he does it year round.

My daily commute is 18 mile each way but I try to add on to make 20. My morning starts near Cannery Row in Monterey Ca and finishes in Salinas, birth place of author John Seinbeck so I call it the Steinbeck commute. My car and expenses are covered by work so I commute by bike because I love it and it's good race training. oh yea to top that 50 year old I'm 64.

Steinbeck commute - I like that. I did that as a 'commute' only one weekend a few years ago when I raced at Sea Otter. Stayed in a motel in Salinas. Nice warm-up ride.

Before I lost my job my commute was 22 miles each way. New job is only 1.5 miles away. I like new job better but it's making me soft.

Yes, I noticed that with myself. When I commuted 14 miles each way I did it  every day, no questions asked. I was lucky enough that it was the direction of the main Tuesday/Thursday club ride, so a couple of times a week I got a good workout (and some funny remarks about my fanny pack...) in.

Later my commutes went down to two miles each way, before hitting zero. The disadvantage of the shorter commute is that sometimes you may be tempted to go back to work.

The bright side is you can eat lunch at home (although I really didn't do it that often anyway) and you just get home earlier to do other stuff (like going out for a ride )

About a mile and a half. I walk, and depending on how late I'm running and how fast I therefore need to run, it takes me anywhere from 25-40 minutes to get there. I haven't measured or anything, but I figure that puts it at around a mile and a half, maybe two.

And you'd run a 12-minute mile, too, if you had to wear what I do to work, so shut up

25 miles each way from Rockville to Jessup. Rolling hills. Nice commute. Mostly back roads. 1hour 30minutes.

50 miles that's great Alex, I know I've been racing to long when I feel I need to move to add 6 miles to my commute
