French national champion Dimitri Champion, 26, has inked a deal with the AG2r La Mondiale for two years.
The French team, run by Vincent Lavenu, already boasts a youthful line-up with 12 of his riders aged 25 and younger.
"I wanted to stay in France and I liked the contract AG2r La Mondiale offered me since it will let me grow as a rider. I am happy to wear my French national champion's jersey on a French team. I want to ride beautiful races like Paris-Nice or the Tour de France," said Champion.
Lavenu was glad to have the young rider on board saying, "Dimitri is a rider who is renowned for his reliability and professionalism. With his win in the French national championships he was able to show us that he can target specific goals. He is a person who can ride at the highest level and win races."
