ISD-Neri's Bartosz Huzarski took the victory today in the 170 kilometer fifth and final stage of the Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali from Fiorano Modenese to Sassuolo. The Polish rider came in with a 45 second lead over Stefano Borchi (De Rosa Stac Plastic) and a further two seconds in front of Luca Ascani (Cdc Cavaliere). Liquigas-Doimo's Ivan Santaromita managed to secure the overall win, with Przemyslaw Niemiec (Miche) finishing second and José Serpa (Androni Giocattoli Serramenti Pvc Diquigiovanni) holding onto third.

“I’m really happy," Bartosz said after the race, "It was important for the team and for me, since I didn't have a win last year. I dedicate this victory to my wife Marta, who always supports me with my sacrifices, and to my son Blazej, who two days ago just had his first birthday.”
